Multiple Sclerosis Centre of Michigan Mission Statement

The goal of the Multiple Sclerosis Centre of Michigan is to diagnose and treat multiple sclerosis at its earliest inception as well as all stages of disease using a comprehensive program which can best be remembered by looking at the pin for MS (see logo). If one holds the pin up to the sunlight once can see that the pin can be seen to consist of facets. Each facet is like a diamond. As the diamond rotates or as one turns the pin in the sunlight one observes that each facet of the pin or each facet of the diamond would reflect colors in a continuum from black through visible colors to white. Thus each of the twelve colors stands for a 12 step program which is taught to each patient. The colors and corresponding steps of the program are described below. The mission is to teach these steps to as many pre MS (clinically isolated syndrome, i.e. CIS) and MS patients as we can in Michigan and to treat them earlier and earlier in the course of their disease to produce a permanent remission, i.e. a cure.
